Since 2008, the Educational side of Casamansun project consists to organize “Hands-on” demonstrations in primary and high schools with a strong focus on renewable energy and biodiversity. These school sessions aims to promote renewable energy and more widely, sciences and technologies.
During these tutorials, advantages and importance of biodiversity and renewable energies are presented to student via lab experiments and documentation that are designed and documented by our organization in tight cooperation with local teachers. All materials are given to visited schools. By this way, teaching staff can use them all along the year to illustrate scientific concepts in agreement with the official program and also the curiosity and interest of their pupils.
This last point points out a strong partnership with visited school during all the year. Experiments are designed to fit with science program and also to arouse the interests toward scientific carreers. We want to emphasize that we verify that the given material was used and if necessary, we train the local staff to use, calibrate and repair the instrument.
The science program school in high school is more complex and our pratical classes, based on renewable energy, are used to illustrate basics electricals, opticals and thermals theories. By this way, students will get used to renewable energies and they can see by their eyes concrete application of basic science theories.
